Living NVC in a Changing World: Empathy, Authenticity, and Belonging

In this 4-day intensive training, we will explore how the core capacities of Nonviolent Communication (i.e. the 4 Steps, 3 Directions) can not only support us in our personal relationships, but also help us show up grounded in our own values while engaging with the communities and groups that we are part of.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have greater awareness how to respond to complex situations in ways that are aligned with their values, whether in families, teams, organizations or communities.

What We Will Explore Together

Over four days of experiential learning and reflection, we will learn together how to:

  • Connect with NVC Model, 4 Steps and 3 Directions

  • Strengthen the ability to stay connected to one's own needs and values in moment of tension

  • Practice balancing care for others, curiosity and empathy , with clear, honest and compassionate self-expression

  • Engage in dialogue across differences in values, perspective or social location that supports collaboration without losing authenticity

What You Will Leave With (Key Takeaways)
