The Art of Relational Facilitation

NVC-based Facilitation Skills for Clarity, Care, and Collboration

This workshop introduces facilitation as a relational practice, one that requires both structure and responsiveness. Together, we will explore how you can bring more intention, ownership, and balance into the spaces you hold.

What We Will Explore Together (Training Coverage)

Over the course of 2 days, we explore:

  • Self-awareness - who you are , what your learning and reactive edges are, your strengths and gifts

  • Connecting with, developing, and understanding your own authentic facilitation style

  • Empathy-based skills such as tracking group energy, participation, and emerging dynamics

  • Balancing empathy with clear expression and direction with vulnerability and open hearted-ness

  • Structuring workshops or meetings to support meaningful learning, and pedagogy in group learning environments

  • Creating spaces that are both inclusive and outcome-oriented

  • Understanding and owning power dynamics in workshop and group settings, and creating co-empowered learning space

What You Will Leave With (Key Takeaways)

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Bring greater self-awareness into your role as a facilitator

  • Track participation, engagement, and emerging group needs in real time

  • Use empathy to support connection without losing focus or direction

  • Balance responsiveness to individuals with responsibility to the group's purpose

  • Structure learning experiences that feel coherent and complete

  • Make conscious choices about when to guide, when to step back, and when to intervene

  • Engage with power dynamics in group spaces more intentionally

  • Facilitate dialogue in ways that create both safety and shared ownership

  • Support collaboration without suppressing differences in perspective
